Camp Speaker Information

Seth Maxwell is a talented juggler and magician.  Even more than simply entertaining, Seth enjoys sharing his Christian faith in new and exciting ways. He is an energetic, caring, and engaging performer and communicator. Seth is also interested in global missions work.  He is a recent graduate of Colorado Christian University with a degree in youth ministry, and has been honing his performance skills over years of practice.  He has a wide range of talents including juggling, uni-cycling, stage magic, close up magic, and balloon twisting. These talents are continually expanding, and now include juggling fire.

Dan Hubbard is a motivational/inspirational speaker, a recorded musician, and an entertaining humorist...more importantly, Dan is a deeply committed Christian and a gifted evangelist.

Dan graduated from Northwestern College (St. Paul) in 1985 with a B.A. in Ministries and a Minor in music. With a love for kids, Dan has served as a Youth Pastor, Collegiate Ministries Director, Junior High Sunday School Teacher, and even "a fearless Sub" for a local Christian High School...BUT, he didn't quit there! His past experiences have been the stepping stones to a more powerful ministry into which God has clearly been leading.

Today, Dan brings the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to churches, camps, and other Christian organizations.

Dan’s love for kids, and his ability to effectively communicate with them, makes him a "sought-after" speaker/musician. Although this ministry has gained its popularity through our young people, all ages have been touched by Dan's music, message, and his sense of humor.

Dan resides in Minneapolis, MN with his wife, Julie, who is also involved with Hubbard Ministries in an administrative role. Dan and Julie are surrounded by men and women of God who have taken part to make this ministry a reality. "We do not exist by any efforts of our own, but by the grace of God and what He has purposed."

Sarah Tener has a passion for helping children encounter God. She incorporates her creativity and love for God’s creation and creatures in her upbeat chapel presentations as well as leading our “Critter Cabin” Nature Center where we learn about God our Creator. Romans 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Sarah joined our full-time missionary staff as our Discipleship Director in 2022 She has been involved in various other children’s ministries since 2004 including other camps, Awana, and Child Evangelism Fellowship.

She also has been the driving force behind our year-round discipleship club “Camp Oak Hills Journey Club”. This club meets monthly and allows campers the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ while enjoying some expanded camp experiences.
