This team will be comprised of a college-age team leader and up to 10 teenagers. Team members will be involved in work assignments, Bible study, on site team activities, and individual work responsibilities.
Team Work Assignments
Team Bible Study and Discipleship
Each day the team will spend time studying the Bible and praying together. The goal of this time is to help each team member grow in their understanding of the Bible and application to their lives. Team members will also have daily personal time with Jesus.
Possible On-site Team Activities
• Group initiatives on the challenge course
• Canoe trip on the Mississippi River
• Evening campfire or pontoon ride
Junior Counselor
Junior counselors work alongside college-age cabin counselors to build relationships with campers and offer spiritual guidance. Junior counselors stay in the cabin with the campers and are involved with the campers and summer staff in all areas of the camp experience such as swimming, boating, archery, fishing, water tubing, campout, Bible sessions, group games, and cabin devotions. This is a great opportunity for teenagers to directly impact children for Jesus and be mentored in their journey with God. Junior counselors need to have one year of experience on the S.O.S. team or prior ministry experience working with children.
