Day Camp Packing List

PARENTS, PLEASE PUT CAMPER’S NAME ON ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS


□ Medications (All medications, including vitamins, must be in the original prescription bottle showing the camper’s name and non-expired date. This bottle must be placed in a zip-top bag with the camper’s name written clearly on the bag and turned in to the camp nurse at registration.)

□ Bible/pencil

□ Towel

□ Raincoat & sweatshirt

□ Modest swimsuit

□ An extra change of clothes

□ Closed toe/athletic shoes AND sandals

□ Swim goggles or ear plugs if needed

□ Sunscreen (please apply sunscreen each morning before arriving)

□ Plastic grocery bag for wet clothes

□ Water bottle

Please pack all items except medications and spending money in a backpack or bag.  You will need to pick up and drop off the backpack with your camper each day.


Additional Packing List for Overnight Option

DROP OFF WITH CAMPER ON WEDNESDAY MORNING


□ Warm sleeping bag and/or bedding and a pillow

□ Camp clothes for 2 days (outdoor clothes your camper is able to get dirty/long pants)

□ Pajamas

□ Wash cloth/towel

□Toothbrush/toothpaste/shampoo/soap/deodorant

□ Flashlight/insect repellant

Please Label Everything.


Privacy Statement

Camp Oak Hills respects the privacy of all campers. However, the camp administration believes that order, safety and the well-being of others has to come first. Thus, campers must not have an expectation of privacy from a search by the camp administration of his/her belongings. Camp Oak Hills reserves the right to search a camper’s belongings for inappropriate items including but not limited to items listed above. If a camper’s personal belongings are searched, there will be at least two staff members present in addition to the camper. One of the staff will be an administrative missionary staff member. If any illegal and/or inappropriate items are found, the items will be confiscated and held at the director or program director’s office. Immediate attempts will be made to contact the parents/guardians. Any additional action, other than confiscating the item, will depend on the situation. If the decision is made by Camp Oak Hills staff to contact law enforcement, a good faith effort will be made to contact the parents/guardians first.


Clothing Guidelines

We ask that parents and campers please read through these guidelines before packing.

Please, no questionable words or graphics on clothing. Shirts should cover the stomach and not be low cut or bare back; tops should have a 1”strap; shorts should be relaxed, fingertip length; skirts should be longer; leggings should not be worn without shorts, skirt, or dress over top. Swimwear is only to be worn at the beach or slip and slide (We ask that you wear a shirt and shorts over swimsuits to and from the waterfront.); sandals or shoes must also be worn to and from waterfront. Guys’ suits must be trunk style; girls’ suits are to be one piece or covering the midriff (If the swimsuit does not cover, you may be asked to wear a shirt over top.)


Lost Items

We are not responsible for lost items, but if requested we will look for and return items we find. There is a minimum charge of $5.00 when items are mailed.


PLEASE DO NOT BRING

  • Any electronics including digital music players, cellphones, and digital cameras.
  • Bikes/knives/firearms/fireworks/lighters/matches
  • Tobacco/cigarettes (including e-cigs, APVs, & JUULs)/non-prescription drugs/alcohol/marijuana products (THC & CBD)
  • Personal snacks and drinks (we do not want to attract unwanted pests such as rodents into the cabins)
