My Background
I was born into a very loving, Christian family. My whole life, my dad has dedicated his life to serving God as a pastor. He and my mom worked hard to teach us about how He has provided for us and loves us. I gave my life to Christ at a young age, and I’ve grown up reading His Word and singing His praises. When I was a teenager just going into high school, I began spending my summers at Camp Oak Hills in Bemidji, MN where my faith in God deepened and matured into what it is now. I spent my summers from ages 14 to 19 at camp, and I’ve made many new friends, seen many kids and staff come to know God in new and different ways, and I have grown in my own relationship with Him.

My first year of camp, I met my now-husband, David. We became good friends, and in our third summer working together, he told me he liked me. We started dating that summer, which turned into a three-year-long long-distance courtship until he proposed to me in January of 2019. We got married in September that year, and it’s been the best years of our lives.

David has been working at the US Postal Service in processing since June of 2018, and he was promoted to full-time clerk in May of 2020. I have also enjoyed serving at our church where David and I are members. I help in the preschool-kindergarten Sunday school class, and I also sing a couple times a month on our worship team.

My Camp Roles

Camp Oak Hills hopes to be a year-round camp with youth, adult, and family retreats. As the Guest Services Director, I will be booking guest groups, cleaning and preparing the facilities for groups, managing the camp store and overseeing the summer camp store manager, managing the office and overseeing the summer office manager, helping parents sign their children up for camp and going over registration papers.
