Dear Friends and Family,

I am a sophomore in high school. The last two summers at camp, I have volunteered as Junior Staff on the SOS Team (Serving Others Selflessly) and I enjoyed it a lot. We did a lot of behind-the-scenes jobs like cleaning, dishes, work projects, and swamp donkeying (weeding the lake) and much more.

This summer I have an amazing opportunity to serve as a summer missionary at Camp Oak Hills. My summer will start in early June with an intensive two-week training period. Then, I will serve for 6 weeks investing in the lives of campers as program staff. This means I will be running a program that the campers can choose to do. I will be leading the challenge course program, where the kids can do activities that teach teamwork and leadership skills while having fun being with each other in God’s amazing creation. I will also be staying in a cabin with campers as a co-counselor and support the cabin counselor.

The focus of my letter is to ask you to partner with me in this ministry opportunity. My position will involve a combination of a paid salary and raised support. This enables the camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible. My support goal is to raise $1,000 by August 1^st.
