Dear Friends & Family,
Hi! I just graduated in May, and I'm heading to Crown College this fall to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. This past year has brought many big decisions, which has been both exciting and stressful, but through it all, God has been teaching me to trust Him with the unknown.
The last three summers, I've had the privilege of serving at Camp Oak Hills, and I'm so excited to be returning this summer as a cabin counselor! My experiences at camp have helped me to grow in my faith and were also a huge part of me deciding to become a teacher. I'm so thankful for the time I've spent there, and the opportunity that I have to be a part of the work God is doing at camp. My summer will start in early June with an intensive two-week training period. Then, I will serve for 6 weeks investing in the lives of campers as a cabin counselor. I will be leading a cabin of 8-10 girls, along with my co-counselor each week. I will lead devos, bond with my campers, and facilitate a fun and safe environment, all with the goal of ministering to the girls, and showing them the love of Jesus.
The focus of my letter is to ask you to partner with me in this ministry opportunity. My position will involve a combination of a paid salary and raised support. This enables the camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible. My support goal is to raise $3,000 by August 1st.
