Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Hayden Chaffin. I am a homeschool student. Due to that, I have been given many opportunities to work in different forms of missions work. Last year, I volunteered at a local Pregnancy Center. During that time, I was able to see the difference that it made to help people in need and to give support to those who had none. I know God has created all people with a purpose and plan. Knowing that, I have been in prayer over my future and seeking the Lord on what He is calling me to do with my life. After much prayer, I believe the Lord is calling me into the mission field. I’m not sure just yet what exactly that is, but I believe it’s to work with children on some level. I have a deep love for children and their wellbeing. I don’t know if it will be in the medical field or in some other form of work with children. Whether it’s local or in other countries, I continue to seek the Lord on it all.

This summer I have the amazing opportunity to serve as a summer missionary at Camp Oak Hills. My summer started in early June with an intensive one-week training period. Now, I am serving for five weeks investing in the lives of campers as a Program Staff Member. This means I will be a co-counselor in a cabin of 8-10 campers each week, as well as running a program area.

The focus of my letter is to ask you to partner with me in this ministry opportunity. My position will involve a combination of paid salary and raised support. This enables the camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible. My support goal is to raise $1,500 by August 1^st.
