Dear Friends & Family,

The snow has melted and our short Minnesota summer is now in full swing. Over the course of the summer, I will be serving in the kitchen at Camp Oak Hills once again. Though I am currently working two other jobs, God has made it clear He wants me to stretch myself a little more, relying on His strength in order to bless this special community. Monday through Friday, I will be starting my days bright and early cooking breakfast for a crowd of hungry campers and staff. My cousin, Claire, who will be working in the camp store, has agreed to be my right-hand man so I won’t have to go it alone. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I will also be able to help prepare and serve lunches.

Please be in prayer! God has already provided in many ways for our summer season as He always does. Pray for all of the staff to be led by the Holy Spirit in all we do throughout the summer, for us to die to ourselves so Christ may shine through us. Pray for good health and the Lord’s strength to endure every hardship the summer will throw at us. Pray for the campers who come, that they will choose to commit their lives to Him and for those who know Him to grow deeper in their relationship.

Apart from prayer, I am sending this letter as I am in need of financial support. My position will involve a combination of a paid salary and raised support. This enables the camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible. My support goal is to raise $2,000 by August 1^st. Now, you might be thinking, “Evy, if you’re working two other jobs, why do you need to raise financial support as well?” Great question! Here’s a short story as an answer. In 2024, I graduated high school and had no idea what to do with my life, so I spent six months in Albania at a Torchbearers school called Crossroads. The name of the school comes from Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV). During my time there, God gave me a very clear but short-term path to walk. Now, I will be returning in the fall (with my younger brother) in hopes He will once again answer this longing to know more specifically what He is calling me to. I will not be able to work over those six months. My school tuition is due by August 15^th, and flights are no cheap luxury.
