Dear Friends & Family,

I just completed 10^th grade at Kingdom Builders Christian School, my first year of not being homeschooled. It was a great experience, and I will probably finish the rest of my high school education there. While at KBCS, I built some good friendships and even got to grow in my musical interest by taking some electric and acoustic guitar lessons. A couple of classmates and I hope to start playing music together soon.

The last two summers, I have volunteered at Camp Oak Hills as a junior staff on the SOS (Serving Others Selflessly) Team washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, and doing other setup and cleanup tasks. I enjoy working behind the scenes at the camp.

This summer I have the opportunity to serve once again, this time as a summer missionary. My summer will start with an intensive two-week training period on June 1st. Then, I will serve for 5 weeks in a combination of roles. In addition to joining the SOS Team again, I will train as a Media Assistant. During this time, I will be taking pictures and videos of daily activities and learning the skills needed to create daily/weekly slideshows using them.

The focus of my letter is to ask you to partner with me in this ministry opportunity. The first way to partner is through prayer. Please pray on a regular basis for the camp as we are quite short-staffed this year. We need God to provide creativity and strength as staff will be stretched and some activities will need to be limited due to that shortage. Pray that we will have unity amongst our staff. We want the campers to hear and understand the Good News and to grow in Jesus.

The second way to partner is through financial gifts. To enable camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible, staff raise funds to provide for the salary portion of the camp ministry expenses. My goal is to raise $1,500 by August 1st.
