Dear Friends and Family,

I have recently graduated from Oak Hills Christian College with an Associate of Arts Degree and have had the opportunity to serve at Camp Oak Hills for seven years now. My first position was mostly cleaning dishes and other behind the scenes work, but since then I have gained experience with photography and media technology, how to lead campers throughout a week at Camp, how to lead many of the activities here at Camp, and leadership skills as well. Last year stretched me in my role as Head Boys’ Counselor and helped me to grow closer to Christ. I am glad for the opportunity to return for another summer in that same position.

My summer will start in late May with an intensive three-week training period. Then, I will serve for 7 weeks investing in the lives of campers and staff as the Head Boys’ Counselor for the second time. My role will primarily be to help train the other Staff before Camp starts and to support the counseling teams throughout the summer with any needs and questions they might have. Some of the training I will be leading will involve leading cabin devotions, how to have conversations with campers, and how to lead several of the activities.

The focus of my letter is to ask you to partner with me in this ministry opportunity. To enable camp to remain financially accessible to as many campers as possible, I am required to raise funds to provide for the staff salary portion of the camp ministry expenses. My support goal is to raise $3,400 by August 1^st.
